1. Who we are
This policy applies to V-Count Teknoloji A.Ş., V-Count UK LTD, V Count Technologies FZE and V-Count INC (together “V-Count”, “we”, “us”). It covers personal data we collect through our websites, sales and marketing activities and business communications.
It does not cover data that our customers process with our products; for that data the customer is the controller and its own privacy notice applies. Use of our websites is also governed by our Terms and Conditions.
2. Data we collect
- Contact and business details you give us: name, email, phone number, company, job title, address and the content of your messages and forms.
- Billing and contract data of customers and partners.
- Website usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as pages visited, device, browser, approximate location and referral source.
- Business contact information we may receive from partners, resellers and public sources, where the law allows.
- Job applications and CVs you send us.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To answer enquiries and provide quotes, demos, products and services, and to manage our contracts (performance of a contract or steps before entering into one).
- To market our products and services by email, phone and online advertising, and to measure our campaigns (legitimate interests; consent where the law requires it).
- To operate, secure, analyse and improve our websites, products and services (legitimate interests).
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (legitimate interests).
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- To assess job applications (steps before entering into a contract; legitimate interests).
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run our websites. With your consent we also use analytics, advertising and support cookies, including Google services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in our cookie banner and change your choice at any time by deleting cookies in your browser. Our websites do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
5. Who we share data with
- V-Count group companies.
- Service providers acting on our behalf, such as hosting, CRM, email delivery, analytics, advertising and customer support providers.
- Authorised resellers and partners, where needed to handle your enquiry or order.
- Professional advisers, auditors and insurers.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement and other authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of V-Count or others.
- A buyer, investor or successor in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
We operate globally. Your data may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, including the United Kingdom, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes above, including for as long as a legal claim could be brought and as required by tax and accounting law. If you opt out of marketing, we keep a minimal record on our suppression list so that we can respect your choice.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. To use these rights, email dataprotection@v-count.com.
We must verify your identity before we act and will respond within the time required by law. These rights are not absolute: we may refuse or limit a request where the law allows, for example where we need the data to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where the law permits, we may charge a reasonable fee for, or refuse, requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority; we ask you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, and V-Count is ISO 27001 certified. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet.
10. Children
Our websites and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Third-party websites
Our websites may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. The updated version applies from the date it is published on this page. Where the law requires it, we will tell you about material changes.
