Installation questions
How do I plan where to install a V-Count sensor?
Send a floor plan and a few photos of each entrance taken by your store manager. V-Count recommends where to place each sensor within 24 hours.
How is Nano AI powered and connected?
Nano AI runs on 5 V USB-C power and connects over Wi-Fi, with an optional external PoE splitter. You configure it with the BoostBI mobile app, as shown in the Nano Wi-Fi video above.
At what height should Nano AI be mounted?
Nano AI supports a mounting range of 2.2–7 m above the counting line. Check the field of view, obstructions and lighting at each entrance before you fix the sensor.
How are Ultima sensors powered?
V-Count's Ultima sensors are powered over Ethernet using a PoE injector, a PoE switch or a PoE splitter, as shown in the videos on this page.
What mounting options are available?
You can fix a V-Count sensor to the ceiling with a mini bracket, embed it with a recessed mounting case, or embed it without a case, depending on the ceiling.
How do I check the installation is counting correctly?
After installation, compare the sensor's counts in V-Count's BoostBI with a manual reference count at busy and quiet times, and confirm staff exclusion if you use it.
